Carrying The Swing

This intimate documentary follows the wave of immigrants who left their homes in Jamaica for Bristol, England, in the 1960s, bringing with them cultural influences of reggae music and Rasta culture that would become a signature element of British style. The film also looks at phenomena like jungle-style reggae, which had its basis in Bristol and then made its way back to Jamaica.
